SUMMARY

Velo partnered with the International Alliance of Theatrical Stage Employees Local 479 to install a roof-mounted solar PV system on their union hall in Atlanta.

The film and television industry has been pushing sustainability hard and IATSC wanted to do their part to demonstrate their commitment to clean productions.

Additionally, solar lowers the operating cost of the union hall saving members on their dues.

Project Scope: Velo provided full design, engineering, procurement and construction of the PV rooftop array, project management and ongoing operations and maintenance.

PROJECT GOALS

  1. Demonstrate their sustainability commitments to members, studios and the general public
  2. Reduce operating costs for their members
  3. Improve the environmental impacts of productions they support and trainings they conduct

Velo Solar provided us with a professional, well-executed, turnkey solar energy solution. Any issues that came up were handled directly and rapidly. I would not hesitate to recommend Velo to anyone considering a large scale solar installation.
